Backpacking and Hiking Group

On Friday, May 29th we will set out for The Zaleski Backpack Trail early in the morning. Stop in Logan, OH for a healthy breakfast at a local diner to fuel up and set out on a short hike for Camp #2. There will be time to set up tents and explore the trail more if you like. In the evening, we'll chat around the fire and spend a night in our respective tents, or whatever shelter you brought with you in your pack. Bring your own food with you and know that if you bring a steak, you'll be instructed in the old tradition of cooking directly on hot coals (if you're up for that). We're putting together a 3 day, 2 night hike on the Zaleski backpack trail from Friday, February 20th to Sunday, February 22nd. The theme for discussion and discovery is, "The difference between doing something FOR God and doing something WITH God." It's important to have the right gear, so let me know if you have interest and questions regarding gear readiness. This is a hike of moderate difficulty and discomfort :-)

This group is about experiencing discomfort together. We'll focus on low budget backpacking and hiking in Ohio and other areas in Appalachia during all four seasons. Every hike will have a theme to help us dig deeper spiritually and get to know one another more authentically.
