About The Battle of Gettysburg:

The Battle of Gettysburg, fought from July 1–3, 1863, was a pivotal conflict during the American Civil War, where Union forces under General George Meade defeated Confederate General Robert E. Lee's invasion of the North. Known as the war's turning point, the battle resulted in the highest number of casualties and set the stage for President Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address. Today, visitors can tour the Gettysburg National Military Park, which features preserved battlefields, over 1,300 monuments and memorials, and a state-of-the-art museum. Highlights include the iconic Little Round Top, Pickett's Charge site, the Cyclorama painting, and guided tours by licensed historians. The area also offers walking trails, living history demonstrations, and downtown Gettysburg's charming shops and restaurants for a well-rounded experience.

Meet-up & Travel:

We will meet at the Summit Outdoors Lodge (4653 Trueman Blvd, Hilliard, OH 43206) and drive to Gettysburg from there. We’ll return to the Lodge at the end of the event.
